Top updates from the month of September!

Dear Wanchain community,

September was a busy month for the Wanchain team, focusing on expanding the Wanchain ecosystem and bringing new usecases to our truly decentralized crosschain bridges, which can now also be used on mobile devices. September also brough along an exciting new update to the ZooKeeper platform. Let’s dive in!

Wanchain and Avalanche announced an integration of Wanchain’s innovative decentralised, non-custodial crosschain infrastructure with Avalanche’s C-chain, while also teaming up to further the development of truly decentralised crosschain applications to power the future of DeFi.

This collaboration marries Wanchain’s unique, decentralised, non-custodial crosschain bridges and Avalanche’s unmatched ecosystem of projects and applications. Avalanche and its ecosystem projects will use Wanchain’s crosschain blockchain infrastructure to create new value and use cases for their users by harnessing the power of crosschain technology. New network upgrade incoming. After several months of research and development by the Wanchain team and nearly a month of testing by our community with the Polkadot testnet bounty program, we are happy to say that the integration of Polkadot on Wanchain mainnet is just around the corner. Wanchain has a proven track record building non-custodial decentralised crosschain bridges. Till now, the focus has primarily been on connecting Layer 1 blockchains with other Layer 1 blockchains. By extending Wanchain’s crosschain infrastructure to include L2L2 bridges, users, developers, and the ecosystem as a whole benefit from the unique advantages of Layer 2 blockchains. As you may remember from our last newsletter, Wanchain integrated with Moonbeam to Boost the DeFi Ecosystem in Kusama via Moonriver, allowing developers on Kusama to access Wanchain’s decentralised blockchain interoperability solution to build crosschain applications. There is a new DEX on the block, built on Moonriver using Wanchain’s crosschain bridges, called HuckleberryDEX. Read more here.

ZooKeeper

The 30th of September marked the release of ZooKeeper’s Crafting feature, allowing users to combine their ZooBooster NFTs to create even better ZooBoosters. With the introduction of a new ZooNFT, the ZooElixir, a whole new dimension opens up to improve passive income opportunities on the platform as well as create even more use cases for the ZOO token. Get up to speed with crafting here, and start brewing some new ZooBoosters in the Alchemist lab!
