Wanchain Community,
The month of November has marked some significant milestones not just for the team with the launch of Wanchain 5.0 and various other updates, but also for the community with the launch of WanSwap! Let’s dive into some of the most prominent updates for the past month.
On November 10th, Wanchain 5.0 officially went live! The launch of Wanchain 5.0 marked a landmark achievement in Wanchain’s cross-chain mechanism and cross-chain capabilities. The cross-chain mechanism has been upgraded from semi-decentralization to a more perfect balance between decentralization and usability. Storeman nodes (the nodes that verify cross-chain transactions) are now fully open to the community! Cross-chain capabilities are more affordable and scalable, allowing for native assets and tokens to flow securely and rapidly back and forth between any two chains connected by wanBridges. Storeman delegation is also live, allowing you to stake your Wan with storeman nodes offering higher rewards than validator nodes (currently ~13.3% vs ~9%). With the successful launch of the first Storeman group, we have seen the amount of Wan locked on Storemen soar to just under 7.5M! Delegate now from the Wanchain Light Wallet!
November also brought on some major product updates and new product releases. The Wanchain Light Wallet has seen some significant UI changes, particularly to the cross-chain section making it easier to navigate. Storeman Delegation is now also supported from the Light Wallet, and a new “@” base naming convention has been implemented making it easy for anyone to quickly see which token they’re transacting with, and on which chain. Read all about the Light Wallet updates here. The Wanchain Mobile Wallet has also seen a major redesign as well as added support for storeman delegation. Other product updates include WanMask and Wanscan enhancements as well as the release of the Web Bridge allowing you to do cross-chain transactions directly from your browser!
The community-driven WanSwap went live on November 30th! WanSwap is a Wanchain based cross-chain decentralized exchange with automated market making which was modeled after Uniswap. WanSwap enables cheap, scalable, and truly trustless multi-chain asset trading. You can also provide liquidity and farm $WASP! Read all about it over on the WanSwap medium here.
With the launch of WanSwap we have seen a massive increase in the amount of cross-chain transactions taking place, as well as almost $500k locked value in wrapped WRC-20 tokens on Wanchain.
We also hosted various AMAs across the crypto-space throughout the course of the month. You can view the recap the Bitrue AMA here, SatoshiClub AMA here, and the CryptoDiffer AMA here.
We hope you enjoyed the new format of the Wanchain Newsletter, making it much shorter and easier to get bite-sized updates! If you have any feedback, come chat with us over on the Wanchain Telegram channel.
See you in the next update!
