Top updates from the month of July!
Dear Wanchain Community,
July has been an incredibly productive month for the Wanchain ecosystem and has brought along big upgrades for the Wanchain blockchain introducing the long-awaited $WAN burn mechanism. More crosschain bridges have been launched, more DeFi dashboard integrations, explorer updates, and much more. Let’s dive right in!
Wanchain EVM upgrade - Saturn 🪐 Hardfork Complete!
What is Saturn? A deep dive into Wanchain’s fifth major hard fork upgrade
After months of testing, Wanchain’s fifth major upgrade, the Saturn 🪐 hard fork, has successfully launched on the Wanchain mainnet! This upgrade brings along many new features for Wanchain, most notably the introduction of EIP-1559 which effectively introduces a sustainable $WAN burning mechanism, resulting in deflationary pressure on $WAN. Following the Saturn 🪐 hard fork, every transaction will slightly reduce $WAN’s circulating supply. Additionally, since $WAN is nearing max supply, the deflationary rate of $WAN will only increase. So far (at the time of writing), 398.5 $WAN has been consumed by flames! Every transaction burns more $WAN and contributes to the supply reduction. You can track the burned $WAN total over on Wanchain’s blockchain explorer, Wanscan.
Bridges and Sidechains: Wanchain Making Cardano Interoperable
Dr. Weijia Zhang and Temujin Louie provided more technical details about the basic infrastructure for connecting Cardano to heterogeneous blockchain networks, revealed a novel sidechain solution, and shared this project’s near and long-term roadmap on the Input Output Global blog. New network integrations
Wanchain Adds OKC to Decentralised Crosschain Infrastructure
OKC has joined Wanchain’s decentralized crosschain infrastructure! Wanchain’s unique, non-custodial cross-chain bridges will bring new assets and liquidity to OKC’s vibrant ecosystem of projects and applications. These bridges will also create new use cases for OKT in other ecosystems. OKC ecosystem projects will use Wanchain’s crosschain blockchain infrastructure to create new value and use cases for their users by harnessing the power of crosschain technology. Wanchain bridges to CLV, the passport to the omniverse
Clover has joined Wanchain’s decentralized crosschain infrastructure! As a direct result of this integration, CLV’s ecosystem of projects and applications will benefit from new assets and liquidity. In addition to these bridges, Wanchain has also added CLV Wallet support to the WanBridge web portal. The following crosschain bridge routes are now available for CLV:

XinFin Integration Updates
The XinFin crosschain bridges have expanded even further! Users can already move XDC between Avalanche, Binance Smart Chain, Polygon, and Wanchain. More new bridges include Bitcoin and XRP Ledger allowing users to move BTC and XRP to XDC Network. XDC bridges now include:
BTC from Bitcoin to XDC Network
XRP from XRP Ledger to XDC Network
ETH from Ethereum to XDC Network
ETH from Wanchain to XDC Network
WAN from Wanchain to XDC Network
USDT and USDC to and from XDC Network, Ethereum and Wanchain
P.S. We’ve launched yet another new faucet, the Telegram testnet faucet bot! There are now three faucets available to users; the crosschain faucet giving first time crosschain users some $WAN for gas, and the Telegram mainnet and testnet $WAN faucet bots. More details:

Wanchain Bounty Reward Winners — The Saturn Public Test
After an intense public test lasting more than two months, Wanchain’s Saturn 🪐 hard fork successfully launched on July 5th, 2022. During the testing period, community members sent in hundreds of bug reports and suggestions, while 14 mainnet PoS Validators launched testnet nodes to assist the Wanchain’s R&D team in testing the new GWAN EVM.
We are honoured to announce the list of bounty winners, as well as the size of each reward. A total of nearly 30,000 WAN are awarded to more than 360 testers. Read more here.

Wanchain added to Autofarm
Wanchain and Autofarm are pleased to announce that Autofarm’s yield aggregator has launched on Wanchain with initial support for WanSwap and ZooKeeper.
Autofarm is a cross-chain yield aggregator that enables users to get optimal return on their assets from yield farming pools by staking in Autofarm vaults. Autofarm is designed to optimize DeFi users’ yields as they interact with DApps in the DeFi space and offers users the lowest fees amonst all yield optimizers. Read more here.
