Wanchain Community,
February marked several important milestones for the Wanchain ecosystem. Of particular note, WanFarm released on Ethereum and Multi-chain Bridges went live on the Wanchain mainnet. Let’s dive into some updates and take a look at some exciting new upcoming developments!
On February 26, 2021, following months of intense research and development work, the Wanchain team successfully released a brand-new version of our cross-chain mechanism: Universal Multi-chain Bridges with Shared Staking Assets. Compared to our previous cross-chain mechanism, Multi-chain Bridges allow for shared staking assets and enable a revolutionary BTC-Ethereum direct bridge. This means that all the wanBridge assets are shared in a unified collateral pool (greatly increasing cross-chain capacity) and BTC can now be directly cross-chain transferred to Ethereum without Wanchain as a middleman! Learn more about Wanchain’s cross-chain developments here. Then get started by delegating to storemen or validator nodes from both our desktop and mobile Wan Wallets.
Cross-chain wrapped value exploded from $6.5M last month to a whopping $11.5M – an increase of more than 75%! WanSwap and WanLend liquidity and volume have also seen significant growth. Check out the latest WanSwap statistics here and the latest WanLend total supply and borrow markets here.
As for upcoming developments, the Wanchain team is currently working on a layer-2 scaling solution for Ethereum, a significantly cheaper and faster solution for doing smaller cross-chain transactions, support for more chains and tokens, and much more!
One more thing.
