August has proved to be a very busy month for the Wanchain ecosystem. Some of the various updates this month include new dapp integrations, new bridges, wallet updates, ecosystem dapp updates, and much more. Let’s get started!

Notice Regarding the Upcoming Ethereum Merge

What Wanchain users need to do to prepare for the merge!

Ethereum is moving to proof-of-stake! Since Wanchain has deployed several bridges to-and-from Ethereum, it is vital for Wanchain Bridge Node operators and Wanchain crosschain token holders to understand the steps that Wanchain is taking in anticipation of The Merge. Find out more.

Wanchain wrapped assets can now be used with Impel’s ISO 20022 financial messaging API

Impel’s API now allows ISO 20022-compliant financial messages to be sent with Wanchain-wrapped BTC and USDC as optional collateral for instant settlement.

Native $USDT bridges

Fully decentralised native stablecoin bridges are coming soon! This will allow users to crosschain transfer native $USDT between various networks while maintaining interoperability with wrapped $USDT.

New Oracle integration - DIA

DIA is a multi-chain, end-to-end, open-source data and oracle platform for Web3. DIA has added feeds for a variety of Wanchain assets including WAN. DIA gives Wanchain developers access to price oracles for 2k+ digital assets, 18k+ NFT collections, 20k+ traditional financial assets, and DIA’s RNG oracle. Read more here.

Shield Protocol integration

The Shield Protocol is the First 2FA on blockchain which provides facility to backup 2FA (Two-Factor Authentication) accounts on Multiple Blockchains replacing the use of centralised servers like Amazon, Microsoft Azure, Google etc. Shield Protocol is compatible with Binance, Twitter, Facebook, Gmail, Amazon or say compatible with all websites around the internet which provide 2FA security. This integration allows users to store Wanchain assets on the Shield Wallet, and also brings support for 2FA backups to the Wanchain blockchain. Read more here.
