Dear Wanchain Community,
April has been an exciting month for the Wanchain ecosystem, let’s take a look at some of the top updates over the past month including some significant partnerships, a new blockchain integration, and much more!
Wanchain and Input Output working on Cardano interoprability
Wanchain and Cardano’s Input Output are collaborating on enabling interoperability between the Cardano mainnet, Cardano sidechains, and other blockchain networks. These efforts will see the teams deploy decentralised, non-custodial, bi-directional crosschain bridges connecting Cardano to other Layer 1 blockchains. Wanchain bridge nodes will also be upgraded to peg the Wanchain and Cardano networks to further secure Cardano’s crosschain bridges and transactions. In other words, Wanchain will become an EVM-compatible sidechain to Cardano. Read more here!

Wanchain and XinFin team up to Develop XDC Bridges
XinFin, a third-generation, hybrid blockchain that aims to enhance synergies between private and public blockchain development, is deploying bridges for its XDC token in collaboration with DIMO and Wanchain.
The bridges will initially link XDC to BNB Chain, Polygon, Avalanche and Wanchain, with plans for Wanchain to provide XinFin with continuous support by introducing BTC, ETH, WAN and others assets to XinFin’s growing ecosystem. XinFin’s growth partner, DIMO, is promoting the need for XDC on other chains while also developing use cases for Wanchain wrapped assets on XinFin. Read more here!

Help test the new Wanchain EVM and earn bounty rewards!
As some of you may already know, on April 21st, at Epoch 19103, the Wanchain Testnet underwent a successful hard fork. The primary purpose of this hard fork was to upgrade the Gwan EVM. This major upgrade makes the Wanchain blockchain fully compatible with the Ethereum London fork EVM and fully supports the EIP1559 protocol. Not only does this upgrade add a per-transaction $WAN token burning mechanism, it further enhances the capabilities of the Wanchain blockchain and greatly facilitates the migration of new Dapps from Ethereum to Wanchain.
A one-month bounty program for Wanchain Gwan EVM upgrade will begin on April 25th, 2022 and run till May 25th, 2022. Read more and get involved!
