Wanchain Community,
March has been an extremely productive month for the Wanchain team. First, our Staking pilot bidding period ran for two weeks and finalized a couple days ago. The pilot will run for the next three months. Also, our Proof of Stake research paper has been released, which focuses heavily on the cryptography and mathematics of our PoS model set to be implemented in Q4. Finally, our lead team hosted our first community conference call #WANccc this month with an overwhelming audience. More on all of this below!

Recent Developments
Galaxy Proof of Stake Research Paper
The Wanchain research and engineering team has released a research paper covering the Galaxy Proof of Stake consensus. This paper is the result of months of dedication by the academics and engineers in Wanchain’s research and engineering teams in Beijing and Austin. Wanchain, previously operated by Proof of Work, will move to the new Proof of Stake algorithm by Q4 2019.

Wanchain's leadership team hosted its first WANccc to update the community on a wide range of topics. The team presented to roughly 150 people online, covering updates ranging from Proof of Stake, ERC20 integrations, EOS integration, Cross-chain DEX, and Institutional Staking provided by Staked.

0xcert Progress Update: Wanchain Connector to be Integrated into 0xcert dApp Development Framework
Wanchain first formed a partnership with the Slovenia-based 0xcert team back in July 2018 with the intent of driving adoption and utilization of non-fungible tokens on Wanchain’s network. Since then, both projects have rapidly evolved and have began to form deeper integrations.

Wanchain has integrated USDC stablecoin, introduced by The CENTRE Consortium — a joint venture co-founded by Circle and Coinbase.
A Double-Click on Wanchain’s 2019 Roadmap
2018 was a monumental first year for the Wanchain team, having delivered the three major product releases laid out in our original whitepaper including Wanchain 3.0 in December. In 2019, we’re putting our foot on the gas pedal, and an even more productive year is well underway.
